I have traveled so little in my life - this has made me the cliche that I am today. Last year I got my first taste of traveling abroad when I spent two weeks in Italy! I was instantly hooked on the novel sights and eats that this beautiful country had to offer. Ever since I once again planted my soil on Canadian, I’ve been thinking of excuses to leave.
It’s not about Canada itself - I love the country that raised me: the salt air, the kindness, the diversity, not to mention universal health care. I love Canada and it will always be my home, but I have a desire to see the world, an insatiable hunger to live life in different cultures and customs. I crave having my breathe being taken away by scenery I have never laid eyes on before. I believe this is what we call wanderlust - and oh boy have I got it.
Countdown is on for July 10th, when I’ll be getting on my first solo transatlantic flight to be reunited with my love in France before we meander towards Italy with stops in Switzerland, Germany and Austria! What an adventure it will and I for one cannot wait!
